TAIO Labs

Apps, websites, hardware · Philippines

Built for tayo.

Filipino has two words for "we". We picked the one that includes you.

kami
we, but not you
tayo
we, and you are in it

Ordinary problems, the ones nobody has gotten around to. Somebody's queue, somebody's parcel, a shop that customers cannot find. We sit with one until we understand it, then build whatever makes it stop being a problem.

tayo + io

The io in TAIO means input and output.
That is also how we work.

You bring an idea in one end and a working thing comes out the other. Sometimes that is an app, sometimes a website, and once it was a wall of parcel lockers. We have been running it since 2018, for other people's ideas and for our own, so we have a fair idea of what it takes.

  1. Input

Your idea, however rough. A sketch, a spreadsheet, or just a problem you keep working around.

  2. We talk it through

What it is, who it is for, and the smallest version that would already help somebody.

  3. We build it

Apps, websites, live video, even hardware. You see it working as it goes, rather than at the end.

  4. Output

Something people use. Running, looked after, and yours to keep.

3 of them, running right here

It only seems fair that we let you try some of what we build. These are the real thing, running in this page. Type in them, click them, poke around.

Sleepy Whisper

The video never leaves your two phones, because there is no server for it to go to.

Access code

482 019

In the app this changes every 5 minutes. We sped it up to 10 seconds so you can watch it.

Type that address into any browser on your own phone. There is nothing to install on the second one.

  • 0 accounts
  • 0 servers in the path
  • 2 phones, paired before either can watch

A neighbour on your Wi-Fi cannot open your nursery. The phones have to be paired first, and by now the code above has already changed.

Beehive Smart Lockers

Took package handling off the front desk, back when nobody wanted to hand anything to anybody.

Nothing waiting. The front desk has nothing to hold on to, sort out, or hand over.

What we can build

Each one with the work that proves it

Every line here is tied to a project you can open. The list grows as the work does.
